HaPPY NEW year everyone!

Thursday, December 29, 2005

Happy New Year! Happy New Year! The end of the year was a great time for movies. Those of you who haven't watched Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire and Chronicles of Narnia, go watch! 1st of January is not a public holiday in Kedah, and I'm on call. So sad. Oh, the flood crisis here is over, thankfully. My house wasn't affected, or I'd still be cleaning up, and we didn't have to transfer patients to other hospitals. Anyone of you coming to Penang during Chinese New Year and want to meet up?

happy new year everyone!
carren: wont brag about the work load, coz we r just new, so work load is rather lepak, at the moment. the best part is we all know each other before this, so workin together is no problem there. the only thing i'l brag is my hostel unit... 3 rooms, plus a maid room, store room, kitchen, n living room, furnished. all by myself.. ha!!!!!! (evil laugh)
but anyway, will b goin back to perak later next year, so dun really matter anymore.

Monday, December 26, 2005

wen jih: so how r u? how is it really in jempol? hw is the pt load like? Joe Ann (our common friend from SBan) met Hans and he was bragging again. Thought better to hear from u yourself!

everybdy: merry christmas and have a wonderful new year. may the new year usher in all that u wish for!

Gho-st: Thanks, will look up resources on the internet on how to do it.

Where's everyone by the way? Is everyone busy at new work environments, quietly studying for exams, off for festive holidays, or having new things coming up on personal life etc?

Up here in Kedah, it looked like Katrina in some parts like Jitra and the northern districts, but the water is now subsiding. The main road of Hospital Alor Star is closed today because of possibility of rising water levels. The hospital main road is beside this river which is overspilling. But the situation is getting better these few days and I don't think there will be any serious disruption in Alor Star. Seow Voon's house is on the southern part of Bandar Alor Star, and not near to any main rivers, so the house is not affected.

How do I add pictures on a newly created blog of mine? You know, like the Star Wars stuff on the left hand side of this blog?

Sunday, December 11, 2005

Kaiinn: u be in KK then? then can meet up lo... if u going sandakan only then susah lor...

anyway, if u interested to go see proboscis monkey and river cruise... check out http://www.sukau.com/ or http://www.uncletan.com/

the first one cost about 450 per pax for 3 day 2 night if u can get to its jetty yourself. Nice accommodation, all meals included. the second one more basic, like camping, no proper water and electricity but cost only 250 with transport. so if u bringing ur girl... better the first one laaa...

Sandakan otherwise nothing to see one, got one nice English Tea house, but town like phillipines settlement... Sepilok Orang Utan reserve is about 16km away, feeding time is 1030 and 230 i think. Can stay in nature resort opposite Sepilok reserve, about 100 for nice room with breakfast for 2.

call me la when u get to kk
merry christmas to all!

HI guys....few jokes here to cheer us all up:

Just browsing
A blind man and his seeing eye dog walked into a store. When he gets in, he starts swinging his dog around. Upset by this, the manager of the store demanded to know what he was doing. The blind man calmly replied, "I'm just lookin' around."

Dead Dog
A man wakes up to find his dog, dead, lying next to the bed on the floor. He doesn't believe his dog is dead, so he takes him to the vet, and the vet says, ''I'm sorry, but your dog is dead.'' The man doesn't believe him and says, ''I want a second opinion.'' The doctor goes into the back and brings out a cat. The cat jumps all over the dog and bites it and says to the vet, ''Meeoowrr.'' The vet says again, ''I'm sorry, sir, your dog is dead.'' The man says, ''No, I want another opinion.'' So the doctor brings out a Laborador Retriever and he jumps all over the dead dog and tugs at it and barks at it and says to the vet, ''Rrrrr.'' The vet says, ''I'm sorry, sir, but your dog is dead. that will be 500 dollars.'' ''$500 to tell me my dog is dead?'' asks the man. ''Well,'' the vet replies, ''I'm 100 dollars, the cat scan was 300 and the lab test was 200 dollars.''

The Scent of An Old Woman
A haggard old lady is riding in a posh hotel's elevator. On the second floor, a beautiful woman steps on, smelling divine. She arrogantly says to the old lady, "Georgio, $100 an ounce."
On the next floor, an equally beautiful women steps on, smelling lovely as well. She turns to the two other women and says, "Chanel, $150 an ounce."
The old lady's floor is approaching and as the doors open, she looks at the two young ladies, bends over, farts and says, "Broccoli, 49 cents a pound."

The Judge
A judge asks a defendant to please stand. "You are charged with murdering a school teacher with a chain saw." From out in the audience a man shouts, "You lying bastard!"
"Silence in the court!" the judge shouted back. He turns to the defendant again and says, "You are also charged with killing a paperboy with a shovel."
"You goddamned tightwad!" blurted the spectator.
"Quiet!" yelled the judge. "You are also charged with killing a mailman with an electric drill."
"You cheap son of a..." the man starts to shout.
The Judge thunders back "If you don't tell me the reason for your outbursts right now, I will hold in contempt!"
"I've lived next to that lying bastard for ten years now, but do you think he ever had a f*****g tool when I needed to borrow one!"

Texan Poetry
The finals of the National Poetry Contest last year came down to two finalists. One was a San Francisco State University graduate from an upper-crust family; well-bred, well-connected and all that goes with it. The other finalist was a redneck from Texas A & M. Go figure.
The rules of the contest required each finalist to compose a four-line poem in one minute or less, and the poem had to contain the word “Timbuktu.”
The San Francisco State graduate went first. About thirty seconds after the clock started he jumped up and recited the following poem: “'Slowly across the desert sand
Trekked the dusty caravan.
Men on camels, two by two
Destination -- Timbuktu.”
The audience went wild! How, they wondered if the redneck could top that?! The clock started again and the redneck sat in silent thought. Finally, in the last few seconds, he jumped and recited:
“Tim and me, a-huntin' went.
Met three whores in a pop-up tent.
They was three, we was two,
So I bucked one and Timbuktu”

English Patient
An English guy was very ill and his son went to visit him in the hospital. Suddenly, the father began to breathe heavily and grabbed the pen and pad by the bed. With his last ounce of strength he wrote a note, dropped it, and died.
The son was so overcome with grief that he didn't remember slipping the note into his pocket. At the funeral, he reached into the pocket of his coat and immediately felt the note. He excitedly read it thinking it might be something he could recite during the service. It said:
YOU WANKER -- GET OFF MY OXYGEN PIPE!!!

yes, house is definitely highly recommended. his sarcasm will be the downfall for our communication skills tutor. because he has proven we don't need it to be a doctor. best of all, his motto is "never trust patients" hence there isn't really a need to clerk pts!
u think ismail merican will ban this show in malaysia soon?
Do you guys watch House M.D. on AXN? Though the diagnoses are far-fetched, it is an interesting resource for MRCP candidates. The cynical, sarcastic,dark-humored physician in the drama is interesting to watch. There is so much medical jargon in the drama that I doubt lay-people can understand it fully.

sigh... i put up a bunch of crap about diabetes, mental health and HEMORRHOIDS. My room now really looks like a clinic now. Damn it!
hey carren....put chicken little poster....damn cute man...

my boss says must put up posters because state pengarah coming on monday. right now my walls are bare. anyone knows where i can get harry porter posters or narnia posters?

Sunday, November 27, 2005

now tat is new.. wonder how would i react if someone slap me... which newspaper was tis?

Saturday, November 26, 2005

Do you guys know more details on the incident where UH female anesth MO was slapped by an (assh*le) cardiothoracic surgeon? I just read about the news with repulse on the newspaper. If my wife is being slapped by anyone, with or without bloody gloves, it will be more than his glasses that will be broken. That surgeon must be one of those whose culture is that women must be obedient and cannot defy men; and when women defy men, it is justifiable for them to be beaten by man.

Another news that made me feel disgusted is the targeting of Chinese ladies by perverted policemen and their female accomplices. If they are so horny, why don't they just f**k each other in the police station.

And UM dropping in ranking among the universities in the world? I am not surprised, not surprised at all.

Excuse me for all these negative energy.

Monday, November 21, 2005

so, how is it there (as pengarah?)
haha seokhong....slangs here in sabah is something to get used to too.....i.e.

ppl here says things like...."dia 'bilang' dia datang hari dua" or...."mereka 'bilang' tidak perlu makan sebelum ......."
(bilang means 'kata'.....) so there'll be us 'west'eners who wonders why the sabahans are always counting (bilang here and there)

Monday, November 07, 2005

Just to add to the 'loghat' thing, when I first started working in Alor Setar, and asked the staff nurse for something, she asked me back "Laa ni?" I was totally confused but later found out that "Laa" means immediately or now. PAP does mean person accompanying patient, as Chee Foo says.
Haven't fully recovered from my EOD call during Raya. First day wasn't bad, even though slept for less than 2 hours. 2nd call, in NICU and SCN, intubated 4 babies; running 12 ventilators. Luckily they were all quite stable.
Chee Foo, count me in for the Lembah Bujang/Gunung Jerai thing. But let me know in advance as the only exercise I've been doing lately has been ward rounds and running to OT/ Labour room.
Chiew Leng, Chong Tien and Wen Jih, waiting to hear from you guys about your new hospitals.

Sunday, November 06, 2005

Hi,
Happy Deeparaya to everybody, or is it bz oncall until no time to Raya?
I'm oncall the whole wkend. Been making multiple trips to hospital everyday, setlling cases like stuck ketupat or kids swallowing their duit raya...sigh...even the oncall claim cant cover my petrol money..

But i still manage to go picnic with my wife at Lembah Bujang(yes, where all those candi-candi we learn in Form % is) and Tupah. Found out that there this interesting trail fr Lembah Bujang to Summit of Gunung Jerai ,will take 1 whole day trip, to and fro. Heard the staff said that the trail was challenging but safe and easy to follow. So, anybody interested for some jungle trekking and mountain climbing??? Mayb we can do it on some wkend,ok?? Do contact me if interested.

Yong: if i'm not mistaken, the SN once tell me that PAP meant Person Accompanying Patient, thus is their family members

Ciau...hope to hear fr u guys again.

Saturday, November 05, 2005

Another term used in Hospital Alor Star, and probably the state of Kedah, is "P.A.P" - referring to 'patient's family'. What exactly PAP stands for, I don't know. I have never heard the use of this term in Negeri Sembilan.

yong, don't forget semput for SOB too. i think mengah is a negeri thing cos it's used in sban and tampin. =}
Hi guys,

For the e-book thing, I guess the best way would be to mail by post a hard copy on a CD to you. That's because the Harry Potter books alone is nearly 10Mb in PDF. Tell you what ... put your postal address on the blog or send your postal address to my email (yonglk98@tm.net.my), and I will burn them on a CD and mail them to you.

The loghat Kedah is peculiar for a Negeri person like me. Air is pronounced ayaq. Any words ending with the letter L will be pronounced I. Example: sambal - sambai, cendol - cendoi, tinggal - tinggai. There is also this habit of using the word 'na' at the end of sentences to make the statement sound more berbudi bahasa. Example: 'saya balik dulu naa' or 'makcik mesti makan ubat tiap-tiap hari naa'. The word 'depa' means 'them/they (mereka)'. So 'deeparaya' in Kedah actually sounds like 'mereka raya' not 'kita raya', a jest mentioned by most Kedahan.

The word for shortness of breath in Kedah is 'penat'. Penat does not mean the conventional 'tired' or 'lethargy' in Kedah. In Kuala Pilah, 'mengah' means SOB. Wonder what interesting words is used for SOB in other states/daerah?

Adeline: So nice to hear dat you'v met my wife and like her :) . She said that u and Seng Kiat were like pinang dibelah dua, always studious and serious. She was afraid to approach u due to the seriousness of u two....hehe...she haven met the funny side of u yet...

Yong: would like to have some of your e-books too, but dun think i hav much to share, except mayb my wedding photos.....hehe..

Really miss u guys....hope v can hav a gathering or something soon...
oops..
suddenly, both my posts appear. sorry for repeating myself ok ppl?
happy raya n deepavali on calls.
hi ya!!
hmm... finally someone reinvited me to the blog after months of me sneaking in using carren's account. posted something 2 days ago but message din turn up. looks like everyone's busy collecting their certs n wat nots for masters next year. dunno if i'd be applying next year. too inadequate cert wise(just did induksi last month) n knowledge n experience wise here.
been wanting to tell u all this, only manage to brag to alan n carren. he he. i did repelling/abscailing down a 3 storey high tower!!during BTN la. yeah it's a big deal for me cos i'm fraid of heights. no doubt those fellas in charge could have brought down someone who fainted easily n safely down but i was ready to BO/PU etc in my pants. yan wei however, was pissed off that she was not allowed to descend fast in 3 gigantic leaps.
met chee foo's honey during induksi. she's a real bright, energetic n cute girl. also very good girl that sit in front row n really listen to lectures, while i join the sweet sucking n day dreaming gang few rows behind her.
glad to hear so many of you r back from the wilderness. my deep respect to u all. i think it takes really something to work as a real peripheral MO with no specialist to consult at all. me, i'm just wondering when our pengarah will chuck me out to hospital without specialist or klinik kesihatan having just escape transfer to hosp parit buntar bout 6 months ago.
carren, i've read the 4 dan brown books too n enjoyed them very much. in fact, i finished the da vinci code in 1 day.
happy to have access to the blog once more, missed the nonsensical n very original crap here.

Monday, October 24, 2005

hi guys,
this is the first time in a long time that i'm writing in my name, thanks to ju ann who invited me back into the blog though she and many others may regret it later.
have met ah ngou's 'honey' during my induksi. unfortunately couldnt take good care of her as our ketua facilitator was a pain in the a** and loooooveeeed checking on her charges to make sure we amalkan gaya hidup sihat ie senaman at 630am daily n no snoozing during riadah. pleased to have met her(i mean chee foo's wife, not the facilitator), she's a bright, cute and petite lady.

have been bursting to tell u guys this nearly month old news(but had no access to this blog). i did repelling/abscailing down a tower bout 3 storeys high. woo hoo!! have fear of heights so was darned scared in the begining but had fun once i was underway. yeah, n yanwei ran 2km in 11minutes plus while i took significantly longer n had right sided chest pain n severe myalgia doing the same thing. all part n parcel of BTN. but no, u dont need to mandi berkemban(ie bath beramai ramai wearing sarongs up to armpit level like in those kampung shows)
was wearing baju kurung putih(one for 5 days heh heh) n sarong dark blue too-my bunch of induksi BTN ppl must have depleted pangkor island of school uniforms in september. very yucky looking. yanwei was my group member during LDK n so was kong wai hong.
Did BTN at ulu kenas KBN in kuala kangsar. Beautiful site in a forest reserve where u can hear monkeys' cries in the morning as opposed to rooster crowing. 24h of natural aircon too. Nice waterfall but we were forbidden to play there-supposed to be dangerous cos it rained upstream. HP reception poor though. ex commandos were the urusetia-they were surprisingly nice, very professional.

alan, thanks lots for those contoh soalan. we had no hope of passing without ur help.back to the present, sorry to be this blur but wat is APC??? n chiew leng, do u mean we gotta gather our induksi cert, MMC permanent practicing cert and surat lantikan penuh n pengesahan ketua jabatan then send up all these 3 documents to our clerk to apply for pengesahan dalam jawatan? man... we dont have to work is it? got so much of time to spend tracing paper??
i'm confused. someone pls reveal the secret identity of apokalypse n canker in the shadows n also john the baptist? especially as i'm supposed to have gone shopping for some microscopic attire with one of them.
it's real late now need to go snoozy. bye n nighty night. have a cool call those of u out there.

Sunday, October 23, 2005

greetings!
wil b posted out soon, wil b the first batch in hosp jempol. it is in the middle of no where, wonder y they wan to open a hosp there. but the building is big, the hostel is big. so nvr mind la.

yong: sound nice u hav so many e book to share... how to get it from u? dun hav any on my side... but if anyone looking for some weird com / palm prog, then mayb i can find it....(no porn plz)

Saturday, October 22, 2005

yong: sound great. i've been trying to download from the BT site but failed for harry potter 1-6 and the chronicle of nardia
how can i get those file from you?
Unfortunately, being the only non-Malay MO in my department, I will be doing some EOD call during this festive holidays. But the good thing is that there will be no problem getting leaves for Chinese New Year and other occasions.

Maybe this blog can also serve as a file-sharing portal. It will be great if we can list down the stuff we have, and help save each other's time searching for and downloading them. The following are digital files that I have. Anyone interested can just contact me, and we will work out how to transfer the files.
1. Harry Potter books 1-6 (including Half-Blood Prince) PDF
2. Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code (PDF), Deception Point (PDF) and Angels and Demons (TXT)
3. Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl Book 2 (TXT) and Book 3 (PDF)
4. Chronicles of Narnia (all 7 books)(PDF)
5. Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad (PDF)
6. Numerous previously subscribed MRCP Part 1 MCQs
7. Spencer Johnson's Who Moved My Cheese (PDF)

raya is coming and deepavali is at the corner.
isn't it wonderful to live is a country full of festivals and celebrations?
is it about partying or hang over or open house free food that we enjoy?
journey home or ' balik kampung' i think is a very special word or event in the hearts of all malaysian.
to show that we malaysian live for many reasons but home definitely is the far most important than others
to share the happiness among families and friends or perhaps it is just the journey to home that you take everyyear make it a special memory in life.
so drive safely or say a simple prayer before you journey home
misorere nobis

(haha, i hope JPJ will buy my slogan for this year road safety campaign!)

Monday, October 17, 2005

hmmm, and in KK u will have legitimate mailing address, and a proper mailbox!

Sunday, October 16, 2005

hmmm... tampin sure sounds like Keningau, where cars are zipping by at an average speed of 30km/hour on a loooooooong strrraaaaight road...

good thing i am moving to KK where the average speed is about 5 km/hour more... hooray

Saturday, October 15, 2005

nothin beats my patients. they dun need cars. they walk. i had patient tat walk all the way to the south, got caught in melaka.
btw, master prog offer came out tis month. u need 3 years of workin (include houseman) to apply, so prepare everything, next year is the year.
hmmm, in tampin, cars roll at the speed of 20km per hour.
meaning running children can dent protons.
good point is the main road of the city is only about 5km.
meaning only 15mins to get to the other side of town! (faster o walk though) =)
Another thing that they should teach their kids in Kemahiran Hidup is road safety. I dunno about other places, but here in Alor Star, in town or kampung, some adults don't hold their kids' hands while walking at roadsides. And those kids, being kids, can just run/jump without reason. On the roads, the pedestrians have the mentality that cars should see them, and should give way to them. You know, they cross the road despite seeing you coming on the car, and expect you to slow down for them. This is no joke because you can be beaten up and your car set on fire, if you accidentally knock them. They are so unaware of their surroundings, they can't hear the rumble of the car engines beside/behind them.

Monday, October 10, 2005

Well put Carren, only when u r out in the less "well equipped" places do u know how deficient they are.

The MAs in these places are doing a good job with what little resources they have. I know here in Sabah many of the Clinics are only staffed with MAs. They do what they can, who can blame them if they do make some mistakes? being in a district is an eye opening experience, then only u understand when cases are referred with this and that not done... its becoz ppl in the district are incapable of doing it. so credit to the MAs, they are a very needed supporting health personnel in the Malaysia health system.

On a brighter side... no more need for PTK for U44, U48 promotion! so go get ur postgrad!!

Sunday, October 09, 2005

well, i don't know about u guys, being in H. Tampin has shown me that the MAs are actually good. they function like us in A&E. in fact their experience definitely outweighs ours. during calls at night, i hardly get called by the senior MAs.they manage everything and i can say they perform better than some doctors.

So, most times, I find that they do the work we do, why not get the same pay as us too? It is only fair that we appreciate the work they do, especially when not many ppl who have spent the so called five years studying are not willing to go to the districts.

yan wei: the putrajaya mmc phone no is as below. call it if u havent got ur full reg. apc is a different thing n surat perlantikan also something diff...... settle one thing by one thing

kai inn: hmmmm... true tat the world is full of psychotic ppl. including those in my ward, those in the admin, everywhere.

ps. ramly burger still sounded very nice.
one thing's definite. the new place in putrajaya doesn't have a line. personally i think it's a scam to prevent us from calling them. i haven't got my surat lantikan yet either. according to the clerk in my office she will settle it for me but i'm bugging her once weekly just to make sure. until she gets sick of seeing me and settle the problem. i actually got the permanent cert from MMC quite some time ago. that wasn't a problem as long as you hand in your log books early and your clerk does the paper work.

just finish BTN. joined adeline, seng kiat and sathiya. saw your wife chee foo but unfortunately didn't have time to talk to her. sorry bout that. the whole damn course is quite upsetting so my advice to all who have not been:go early ..don't wait until your frustrations grow as you work in the ministry.

just wondering.....the private sector is now paying MOs between RM6000-Rm7000 a month. do you suppose we could work in the private sector and become a private candidate for masters?

FEELING VERY DISGUSTED WITH FANATICAL TERRORIST ACTIVITIES

Wednesday, October 05, 2005

wah wah, everybody sound so serious leh!!
i am so surprise leh. where is all the fantasy and dream and poem gone??
just came back from Induksi and BTN course. no comment la. it was just unrecorded leave to me.
i haven't got my APC also. am i in deep shit? i am not going to get confirmed!! i am not going to get my master!! will i become a chronic MO or a locum freak?? selling ramli burger perhaps really is the only way out. aiyo... please la. Relax first, afterall life isn't just about carreer (hope i am not the only one think like this).
read a book during induksi time named ' norwegian wood' japanese author. very interesting but it was in chinese translation. about a sad love story of a young man trapped in between two mentally ill girls. what kind of world it was, full of psychiatric patient! maybe we were all wrong about our living world. they maybe normal that we are abnormal?? anyway,
it is this song that sang by Beatles which also named Norwegian wood. what a japanese know about norwegian wood i wonder. try listen to it!! (you can search the net for it) perhaps you will want to read it one day while you sell ramly burger.
selling ramly burger sound nice. probably will settle for tat.
apc is one big issue.
n for those who wan to check ur full reg (if, like me, havent got anything yet from MMC), call 038831403, talk to cik azlin. but u must know when did ur hospital send in ur application.
(like mine, it was only sent in dec 2004, half a year after completed housemanship.)

yes, putrajaya's number. my operator says they don't have a number yet.
WJ: about your quitting KKM and joining Min of Education plan... i think the problem is not only in the losing of seniority, the bigger issue is whether the Medical Council will recognise the years in Min of Edu for your APC. Remember we have to complete 3+1 years to get our yearly APCs and be able to go private. Well i dunno if quitting KKM early and switching to Min of Education will screw all that. Any ideas?

Of course could always finish compulsory service before transferring yourself. Which actually means you DO NOT have to quit KKM. You can actually transfer between ministry as long as u get the permission from KKM and a job from Education, in that way your seniority is not lost...

Ah... or just quit medicine and go sell Ramly burger... less stress less pain less stupid patients. All they'll want if burger, with or without mayonnaise...

Just watched the Hong Kong Disneyland opening gala on 8TV. Disneyland was definitely one of our 'must-visit places before we die'. It brings out the child in you. Will go again in the future, with our children, if we have the chance.

....
everyone is busy thinking about post grad. actually there r other options to go into masters:
1. quit KKM, join ministry of education. join uni as their MO so tat u can join the master too. downside: u lose ur seniority if u join back KKM. meanin u wil b stuck in U41 for a long time.
upside: u can apply now. stil hav monthly pay. think it is more of less same salary. tat is wat my boss did, n suggestign tat i do. (n mind u, he is not bumi)
2. private uni do accept trainee lecturer, but calbel counts, (anyoen has any?) , i think UIA is open, (heard it from a fren), as for IMU, saw both ortho n peads also has.
3. wait til ur turn with KKM, applied, get rejected n finally quit KKM to become GP.

n tat is all talks bout the future. funny, y think along the line of medical. think outside the box... there is more than medical life.. n i salute to those who had quit become a doc, n finally regain back the remainings of their pathetic life (forgive me my negative outlook..i see suicide case nearly everyday)

n aunty, KKM no to call is in putrajaya. i do not hav the no now, but if u wan, can send it to u later. there is one officer in charge, n she is rather ok la. not too fussy.

There's actually 2 people using the name Tan in this blog. I'm not sure who the other Tan is but I think it's Hung Tiong. Dunno whether you guys recall that there were actually 6 Tan's in our batch.
Anyway, I haven't even gone for induksi, so I'm actually worse off than you guys. The last one in May, there were not enough MOs in the department, so nobody could go. There's no induksi for us in September. Anyway, even if there was, I couldn't have gone either, because just coming back from exam, cannot take off so soon.
I met a lecturer from IMU about 3 months ago who said IMU offers to sponsor doctors to do their masters in local universities such as UM and later hire them to become lecturers in IMU. Have to be based in Seremban-lah. And I think it's only available for those who want to do internal medicine. Not sure whether they offer for other specialties. So, maybe this is one option for those who want a fast route.
I did not mention earlier that Mong Tieng met with an accident about 2 months ago and suffered ligament injury to her ankle. She has been out of action and is currently back home in Terengganu. Should be coming back to Alor Setar soon though.
carren, who r u trying to call? i may have the number
wen jih, who did u tok 2 to confirm that u have ur pendaftaran penuh?

27/9/05 - still no telephone line to KKM
- no respond from smoke signal
Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day You had a bad day
Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on
life's like that...
so it is not surprising people going for greener pasture...
good luck lee kien&seowvoon venturing to west....for breaking de norm..de option is very enticing ....but...do i have the guts to try my luck there..?
btw, found a house to rent in KK as in Kota Kinabalu not Klinik Kesihatan...transferring there in a month time..
I survived DISTRICT posting$#$%^
so, do come and visit sabah u guys!

My friend's friend came back to malaysia 3 years after completing her undergrad under JPA in UK. She had no trouble getting the hosp and posting of her choice which was traumatology in UH and now she is in masters prog within 6 mths in malaysia.

my question is, how did she do it without getting confirmation (didn't even go for induction) and at light speed )without 1+3?

it's because she is not one of "us".

life sucks.

Have you noticed how accurately the nurses, MA, office clerks know exactly which day of the month the gaji is out? Noticed how long the queue is at ATMs on gaji days? I know of nurses, MAs, attendants who have only RM20-50 left in their savings by the 20th of the month. Ever noticed what canggih handphones the attendants own (specialists still use the good'ol solid Nokia3310). Maybe that's an example where the gaji all went, plus at places like Courts Mammoth, direct sales products, kenduri for all occasions. Maybe the education ministry should integrate some financial literacy topics in Kemahiran Hidup in school.

Seok Hong: I meant that, as independent applicants, we qualify to apply for Master programs one and a half years after our MBBS graduation. That means we are eligible NOW. The program will still take 4 years. If we join now, it will mean that we don't have cuti belajar from KKM, which means we must quit and lose the monthly salary. No salary for 4 years, and on top of that, we still have to pay the school fees on our own. Not a viable option. As for exactly how much the fees, i don't know. I asked Prof Liam about this last year when he was still head of Postgrad Studies.

If we join Masters via the usual route, i.e. after completing 1+3 years, passing induksi, and getting the study leave approved by KKM, we will still get our gaji, plus KKM will pay for school fees. But we are legally bonded to govt for 7 years after completing postgrad studies. Then during that, our fates for subspecialty opportunity will be in the hands of 'Dato Dr so and so' in KKM. A physician, Dr Ismayatim, in Hospital Alor Star got sent to a Gastro & Hepatology subspecialty training for 1 year in Australia when he was still in the gazettement year. Whereas 'others' are still waiting for years for their chance of subspecializing. There is a Mr Zamyn orthopedic spine surgeon from Hospital Alor Star, now in Sungai Buloh - had one year training in Australia and now thinks he is god. He is also a pervert. Sadly to say, he was a UM MBBS undergraduate.

The lecturer-training program is entirely different ... I am not sure of the details, but I know that they don't accept 'us'. There are exceptions though, I don't what procedure or what strings to pull to get it ... I know that Chan Kin Hup is in a UIA lecturer program, and Athena is in Unimas lecturer program. And of course there is our Rebecca in the physiology program as informed by Anas. I guess we need to ask insiders about how to get these opportunities.
gues it is always a hassle for those who wan to do masters. option is always there to quite, but money is a big issue here.
stil trying to get my full reg done (imagine: after 2 years of service) ... last week they told me it is ok.. so expecting it these few weeks. then it is pengesahan perlantikan, then it is pengesahan perjawatan.... now u know y so many staff in ministry office.. they just compile forms

Wednesday, September 21, 2005

KKM just moved to putrajaya... i think. they don't have telephone line yet, i have been told. i think they just plain lazy, no need to answer questions by delaying the process of phone installation.
great input LK,
in addition, even after getting specialist training i e MRCP bla blah.....most of the specialist are still getting U41 pay etc....because....everyone had been so diligently studying Harrisons etc...that we dont read and sit for PTK...
anyone goin for PTK and has the books?...

Tuesday, September 20, 2005

People who are rich enough can quit KKM now and join a U.M. Master program on their own expenses. The Medicine master program only requires 1 and a half year since graduation to join. And if we join the program this way, we aren't bonded for 7 years.

Problem is we NEED the monthly RM2000++ salary, therefore we are subjected to all these redtape under KKM.

Another option for rich people will be quitting KKM now and join a Master program say in NUS. Be like a medical student again. And of course there is this local university lecturer training program, which is out of bounds for most of us.

Well, another issue will be: if we quit KKM now, we will need to join back as U41 after we complete the specialist training. Unless we join Kementerian Pendidikan for good and just stay in UM. I wonder what are the requirements to get an APC if we are under Kem Pendidikan.

But we are all not that rich to consider all those options.
hi guys
sorry got to break your bubbles....even if masters eligibility has been shorten to 3 years in service instead of the current 4 years in service requirement, i doubt we can get our pengesahan dalam jawatan in time.
help me out in this guys, if u know a way to shorten the application.

you see, i did induksi in april, which most of us did the same time i presume. i have yet to get my cert for the induksi. and i asked my jabatan kesihatan negeri...takes freaking 6 months to 1 year to get the cert!

thereafter, need your permanent practising cert from MMC..which i also have yet to receive...(have any of you got it yet?) i called the putrajaya MMC...no answer!

only after these 2 documents and surat lantikan (which is the only thing i have), we still need our perakuan from pengarah..which shud be easy...

but, subsequently, need out office pegawai who is in charge to apply for our pengesahan dalam jawatan....a process which involves her to send the application thru the state jabatan kesihatan to the Kementerian...then onli to SPA...then to await the process there in SPA....all of which takes easily 3 months!

as u guys who r planing on taking up masters...pengesahan jawatan is required b4 our ketua jabatan can allow us to apply for masters!

so...really..go figure....

anyway, nd u guys feedback if there is really a faster route.....i.e....under table coffee $....hehehehmuahahahaha

ciaoz!

Best wishes for Tong Ming and Chin Loon too....too bad i cant attend their wedding coz........my grandfather just passed away. He passed away on 8/9/05 and was safely buried on 12/09/05. so ironic isn't it? but luckily he wait until my wedding was over before letting go of his last breathe. i'm happy that i can fulfil his last wish to see his eldest grandson (aka me) getting married. Hope that he can now rest peacefully and enjoy his new beginning in heaven........

Saturday, September 03, 2005

Congratulations to Ah Ngou and Tong Ming. Been on study leave the past 2 weeks and surprisingly, kind of missed studying. That's not to say I like exams. I've been getting up late every day (have never been a morning person). It's going to be tough going back to work after this. Some more, on call on the first day I get back (Expected, but was still hoping it wasn't true). Anyway, any of you guys going for Ah Ngou's wedding dinner in Taiping?

Thursday, September 01, 2005

yeah! congrats ngou

my apologies too for not able to attend.

Saturday, August 20, 2005

yes, i would love to go langkawai. not been there for 10 yrs already if i'm not mistaken. hmmm, as for your concession, we who left for district posting just left without saying anything. I'm not even provided with accomodations...i feel so stupid now...
I've stayed in Alor Setar for more than 2 years now but I have yet to go to Langkawi. Hmm... must plan a trip there one of these days. Anybody else interested in going? Or maybe I should volunteer to go to Langkawi Hospital first. Apparently, the state pengarah wants to start a system whereby Paediatric MOs go on rotation in Langkawi Hospital. We are demanding a few concessions first: proper housing, TV, laundry service, refrigerator, a DVD player would also help.

the boat that never come home
just close enough to be seen
they've left the old harbour long ago
venture into the mystery of world
though they have stopped sailing around
the world is never tha same again
the old captain has gone
the boat is as old as the island
the boat that never come home
where have they gone?

going back KK in November
my trip to alor star was short but thanks alots to mong tien who entertained us well. oh! thanks to seok hong as well still able to meet us for supper despite having call the next day.
due to the bad weather, i was unable to proceed my trip to penang. sorry chee lean for expecting of my coming to penang.
i also passed by Sungai Petani, but kind of rush though, so chee foo and who even in SP, miss you guys.
for those who haven't been to Langkawi island, it is in fact quite fun and easy visiting. cable car and the hanging bridge is very memorable with the stunning view of langkawi.(highly recommended). the rest is so-so. my boat trip back from the island was almost overturned due to strong tidal waves. actually quite exciting! i called it a bonus to my trip cause i was sitting next to the captain of the boat/ferry. learned a bit about navigating a boat with GPS and radar system but most of the time he was busy with the wheel avoiding big waves.

chong tien: still look forward our Nepal trip

bye all
i am going back to hospital sultanah aminah JB. soon

Remember those days when we were in Klang and the haze/smog used to be so bad. Now five years later, the haze is still an annual event. Are we to expect ourselves and our children to have annual dose of haze inhalation every year? Maybe our weather should be described instead as 'rain and shine throughout the year with seasonal haze'.

Talking about rain and shine throughout the year, as of two weeks ago, my home in Seremban was on water rationing due to low water levels in the empangan. Pipe water supply was switched off from 8am to 10pm almost everyday. Now that's amazing with the amount of rainfall we get. Where did all the water go? Maybe there is an AP for water supply and all the water is channelled to some few industrial areas approved by 'few selected (very rich) individuals'. Some places have much less annual rainfall than ours and such things don't happen, plus we can drink the water straight from the tap.
(PS: some nurses told me this political jest - the haze is actually due to Rafidah burning all her files/evidence on AP)

Where are all the people with insight who can make a change?

On an unrelated merry-er note, Seow Voon and I would like to congratulate Tong Ming and Chee Foo on their weddings.

Tuesday, August 09, 2005

More from the village of Sikalabaan, located in what is now apparently the poorest district in Sabah.

i really thought induksi was a waste of lots of money n manpower...
there are still lots of folks living in very terrible condition, went to one of the rural area here yesterday...YB comes n sweet talk near election, but does not even provide proper road to their kampung...living 5 hours away from the nearest pekan, students/ school being abandoned, no aid watsoever... look at this classroom..
go figure...50 govt servants staying in hotel, eating 6 meals perday...compared to these ppl...eating ubi...still using generator for electricity...sleeping on wooden floor...

Saturday, July 30, 2005

chee foo: congrats!

lee kien: did my research itself from 22/5/00 till 11/6/00. so, just add a few days before and after those dates la.

everybody: induksi was great. played lots but had controlled food intake, not too hard as the food was not exactly great. the urusetias were also great as they were very UNDERSTANDING! loads of activity individu, meaning SSL. also gave us RAMALAN ANSWERS!. mugged it on the day before exam and then played pingpong and went swimming. heck, that was mostly what were participants were doing, inclusive of beach volleyball.

anyhow, on the day of the exam, i was sweating buckets, what if the ramalans were wrong. well, they happened to be accurate. and nayway, for those who could not remember the answers that well, the urusetias were volunteering answers!

so, why get so upset about the APs when at the very first govt coiurse we go to, we are exposed to so much white collar crime. but then again... are we complaining?

i must say, my parent's tax money has been well spent! long live kursus induksi! so, who is up for their BTN?

Friday, July 29, 2005

arghhhhh.. wat is wrong with everybody...everyone wants to get married this year!!!!
forgive me, attended too many wedding i gues....
so, congratulations!!!! wil start saving ur ang pow money oredi....
congrats cheefoo....best wishes...!

Thursday, July 28, 2005

who is the lucky gal?
anyway congratulation! isn't it what you want to hear? ha ha! life is going to be tied down my friend, chee foo. freedom vs marriage.
life is about making choices. never regret for life lives once, unless the whole karma thing works.
so when is the big day, let us all know..... bye
getting married.......soon......

Thursday, July 21, 2005

Thanks for the input, guys. Anyone know the dates of our second year elective?

Wednesday, July 20, 2005

try to recall my memory...(but no facts to support my recall)

i remembered it was 2 weeks period of baktisiswa ( a week in kuching, a week in kampung Pueh) and it was 31st august 2000 i was with chee lian and chee foo in kuching (2-3days after our last day of baktisiswa) celebrating national day.

for CRP, it was 4 weeks ( 2 week at site, 2 weeks preparing report). the first weekend at lekir, yeeling and i went for a concert at bkt jalil and it was 16th june 2001.

and i think, chong tien and i left for south africa on 5th december 2001. we were doing our elective in Good shepherd hospital, swaziland for 5 weeks and travelled for 3 weeks in south africa. we were stuck in the airport for one day due to technical problem and came back to m'sia on ?4 feb 2002, a few days before CNY. elective report was due about a week after CNY.

hope it will be helpful to you, lee kien! figure out some more!
You guys, I really need those dates (elective, Baktisiswa, CRP) by Aug 31st. So let me know if anyone still has records of our medical school projects.

'Appreciate it. Thanks.
sorry lee kien - my electives/ crp stuff in kl...out of reach. 4th year elective was December 2001.

anyone gotten their APC yet?

enjoy induksi...it is one of the ways govt splurge taxpayers (incl your dad n mum's) money...so make sure u take all the bath foam n shower fr de hotels....daily....

lalalala
ciaoz
~ hate is such a lovely word ~

If any of you still have them, can you check for me and let me know the dates? Also, if you can find out the dates of our CRP (kuala kangsar, lumut etc), please tell me.

Plus, when was our Baktisiswa Sarawak (Kuching and Lundu)?

Alan: What happened?!

Wednesday, July 06, 2005

Stabbed in the back by some of you.

Very good. Consider my association with this Blog terminated.

Tuesday, July 05, 2005

oh welcome back... Ju Ann... er... i meant canker... er... ah never mind
Did you see the front page of The Star today? The grandiose, delusional, fanatic charlatan's face looked like one of those typical patients who comes in for emergency laparotomy for ?PGU with underlying COAD, 'newly-diagnosed' HPT and unexplained abnormal BUSE, who then dies day 12 post-op due to 'sepsis'.

no one is going to tell who is who here.
nevermind ....

bye .
(please leave this blog before it is too late to do so.... just kidding)
**just wondering how many episodes more still there to finish and what will happen to ju ann, carren, alan and de X factor in the next episode of MBBS UM 1998/03.

so join us tomorrow 830 pm for the next episode of `desperate MO'

alan is among us, under his stealth cloak. he is the unseen. TRUST NO ONE!!!

lee kien, thanks for the info. my uncle will try the Penang GH one first. Murali is hooking him up with the specialist there but if that fails, we'll try interstate!

to those who are venturing out into the ulu places, good luck!
Have been away for the weekend and only caught up with the latest blogs tonight.

I missed out on whether the identity of 'John the Baptist dari belakang' has been revealed. His/her last blog reminded me of the sexy, hypnotizing and intriguing style of Anne Rice, and put that together with hairy chest = Prabath, the sensuous vampire?

Am using my trusty Sony Clie, which is becoming extinct. Literally. Will try out the suggested programs and see if it is supported. It will be great to install updated 2005 versions of Skyscape stuff. Wonder if the old keygen still works. Do you still have the CD with iSilo and Skyscape stuffs, Wen Jih? Hope to borrow from you the next time I go back to Seremban.

Long live piracy. This is how I justify using pirated stuff {as a defence mechanism :-) } when those big american companies set the pricing of their products, they do lots of statistical and actuarial tests to come up with the biggest profit margin, yet not too pricey as to deter buyers ... and their target market will be mainly US market, possibly also the EU ... by now they have profitted all they can from those areas... and we people in Malaysia weren't even part of their equation in terms of potential market ... so practically, they really have not lost anything.

Carren: Hosp Alot Star has a dermatology clinic, but no, there is no competent dermatologist here nor any 'canggih' dermatological tests here. Remember Dr Koh?, the dermatologist who comes to UH as a visiting physician (and some of us saw him for prescriptions of isoretinoin), you can try asking him if he can recommend anything. His practice is in Damansara, and his number is 03-77258437.

What did you do, Chong Tien, and who was being wrongly accused of what?

Where is Alan by the way?
ghost: reinstatement noted

Saturday, July 02, 2005

Carren,

poor soul reinstated. up to her to accept.
Ghost: finally, the fiendish clouds are lifted. could u please serve your earlier sentence to the rightful perpetrator and to reinstate the poor soul who was wrongfully plastered on with the big scarlett letter and nearly stoned to death.

Gasp and horror...

wat has the Force come down to??

Is this a farce?

Is this Alan in disguise?

Look closely at the less than feminine posture, the cheeky geeky weird smile, the awkward way of holding a sabre... and i do say!!... Ju Ann is actually Alan in disguise...

And his trusty pet Yoda! who else could play such a wonderful endearing role and make it look so real? ahhh yes... the Yoda freak... Tan Ju Ann... in disguise she is... in shadow she is...

Stevie Wonder has a new single out. Looks like his soul has become as dark as the lightless world he has been living in all this while. At last he has come to rue his blindness. He has become a grumpy old prune.

"Shame on me," he croaks, "shame on you, shame on them, shame on us, so what the FUCK!"

I love the chorus. Will ask them to play it in Atmosphere tomorrow.

Everyone remember to come ok. And don't wear too much.

Heard that someone in some sad hospital in N9 was asked to be a paid extra in an episode of Tin Gei Bin which was filming there, but he refused.

Will they be coming to shoot in Banting? I shall be waiting, with my pet leopard.

palm users:
1) i am using xlauncher, i find it much better than zlauncher, maybe my simple brain not developed enuf, but i find xlauncher more organised

2) i get my skyscape programmes from pda expert. free for lifetime to download any programes. all codes available.

Penang GH and Alor Setar GH:
any skin specialist there or facilities to run skin prick test? my uncle got skin allergy and has been on oral steroids and right now his skin specialst can't seem to wean him off his pill - even after 6 mths. he's looking cushingoid already. Help!!! need to find outwhat exactly he is allergic to.

PALM USERS UNITE!
to those with Palm...
jottings from a new Palm user....

1. am sure most of u have Adobe for Palm... have u ever notice how HORRENDOUSLY it converts articles... especially journal articles into. uuuugh... can barely make head or tail of it, talk about disappointing...

fret not! cos there's another nifty program out there! Termed RepliGo... it converts your PDF file and makes it look as good as the original! of course it's shareware... and u have to pay for the full version... but there are always ways to get around that.... (personal communication for further info)

News travelling around circles is that another program can view native PDF files... termed PicselBrowser... this program was taken off a Symbian phone. I cant get it to work on my device tho, maybe u guys have more luck?

2. Anyone out there using Skyscape medical software? think of getting more? well go ahead... go download the trial version online... and see if it is useful for u... then... hehehe... unlock it... cool man

3. After a while got fed up w/ the original Palm launcher... u know... the application launcher page? damn ugly... and cant categorize programs in card... try out Zlauncher? shareware... but looks good

4. Oh yeah... for those who likes to read ebooks on Palm... convert them easily using DropBook from the PalmOne Software page... cheers!

Any other goodies out there from those using?
only here can one have conversations with himself and not beknown by the rest... clearly there is a split in personality and very poor insight!

Lee Kien, u should look into working as a decryptor! have you read Dan Brown's Books, such as da Vinci's code, angel's and demons, digital fortress? all well researched books which will leave u wanting more!

One thing is for sure: John the Baptist is NOT Alan. He would never ever pick a pseudonym like that.

Yes, JuAnn, I agree, I detect a strong dark force of massive intelligence and witty cynicism, with inner turmoil and possibly tendency to torture small animals during childhood. Curly chest hair and Sabak Bernam? I cannot piece these clues together.

Beginning to feel like an Agatha Christie novel.
Very clever, Lee Kien. Spent some time staring at the name and could not connect until you mentioned it.

Christian. Or not.

Probably male. Or female.

Fresh yet somewhat unfamiliar writing style. I detect a massive intelligence and sparkling wit behind those words, yet the undercurrents of a bitter tormented soul, some curly chest hair and a fetish for frogs (which, I hear, are in great abundance in Sabak Bernam).
sometimes i really get mess up by all the secret names/ persons appeared in our blog-mycroft / ghost /me stupid fellow /canker in the shadow. Am i in the right blog or not??

phantom it sounds
an evil spirit i sense here
no need to call for help i think
may the force be with our blog i wish
the one with the voice i am not........... i am kainn
Kindly remind us again who "John the Baptist dari belakang" is?
Honestly, the creativity, class and crass of the posts here are better than any regular articles in magazines. If you guys ditch medicine as a career, you guys would have no problems to be hired as a columnist or TV writer.

Anas: Years ago I would have had a lot of creative things to comment on the physiology trainee lecturer, but now I just don't even bother. In fact I don't bother about a lot of things any more these days. Pity the pre-clinical students.

Went shopping last Sat and got me this absolutely fabulous leopard skin 2 piece (swim) suit. As it covers only approximately 1.4 percent of my body surface area, will be cavorting like a maniac on the dance floor this weekend just to keep warm.

Sorry Seok Hong and Carren couldn't make it, but Adeline and I had a blast.

Adeline picked out this sartorial marvel which looks like it can barely hold itself together, much less conceal her vital organs. We were trying out stuff in the changing room (yes girls can do that together without resultant psychological damage, unlike most straight men), and I'm, like, thinking, Seng Kiat will SO be wearing a napkin to keep all that drool off his tie (arf! arf!)

Sg Petani man is of course invited. So is the Teluk Penyu man and UKM man.

Just something to fill in your time before you guys decide to go off bungee jumping or leaping into algae-infested pools over there in Nepal or Abu Dhabi or whatever -shudder-

And so the baby was found. Sheesh baby eaten by a rabid kangaroo or run over by produce truck would have made a better ending.

Reality is SO boring.

And heard someone in some sad town in N9 needs the services of Mycroft to keep the cows away from his house.

A lonely seagull flies the winds
Majestic... soaring...gliding wings
A single screech sounds from the sky
Come fly with me... come here and fly
My spirit floats to be a part
I feel the beating of its heart
My soul, one with this bird of sea
Now knows the meaning to fly free
I feel the winds caress my soul
And soar the streams without a goal
My being trembles of delight
A treasure I received tonight
The seagull's flight of soaring high
The gift of what it means to fly

This is for the 8th floor bungee-attemptee....

Saturday, June 25, 2005

and yet, it was with the aid of a paediatrician that finally prevented our first class show of bungee-less bungee diving.
the higher authority had finally decided to let one of the cool person to stay back in seremban after fail to find a suitable place to place him, finding him to hav d uncanny ability to turn d cows crazy the moment they were near him,... so finally he is placed in a small isolation buiding far away from the hospital , known as The Instituition.
n true enuf the week he was placed there, someone wants to jump from the 8th floor. again.
Headlines: massive reshuffling of medical doctors.
In the aim to support the governments cry for developing the rural area, the ministry of health is sending out way cool people to educate the confused cows of the small towns. Ministry's officials said today that letters have been sent to respective persons and appeals will not be entertained as they are busy swatting flies and having tea. There is a general outcry from the cool people as they all know that the cows are beyond salvage. However, the outburst has fallen to deaf ears and the massive exodus is expected to begin next week.

who's going where, pray tell. I'll be going to KKIA tampin! yup, u are looking at the new Obs and paeds dr. Yucks, of all things, but glad no more calls. will be staying with Shin Yi. will be going on the 4th of july.... hmmm that's independence day US. hope it's like that for me too!

i'm so proud that my beloved Sg Petani Hosp had become so infamous lately!!!.... Firstly with mentioning by our equally infamous Datuk Samy as one of the "problem" hospital (completing our new hospital, that is), then bout people wanting to sue us for accepting post-op patient for other "private super-rich" hospital (unfortunately, that lady had died). Right after that, 1 of our med patient got depressed in our hot as oven ward and decided to get a plunged, but unfortunately that poor person din aim into that small algea-infected pool but instead hit the ground and we had loss him. Then this story bout alien abducting babies in the ward!!! Wow, bet no other hospital can get as "famous" as us noow...mmmm wondering wat's next, hopefully its something that'l make us more well-known, but more pleasent..

So, anybody wanna join our exclusive infamous hosp club in SP??
Alan, i'v extended an exclusive invitation to u to join us. i know u like the action here. Who knows, maybe one of your heroic antics will appeased the aplenty cameramen here to make u an Hosp SP Idol....

Ju Ann, will go to your foam party, count me in...

Hi all

hey those working there... any news and info not in the papers... would like to hear. sure ur hospital director is throwing a fit now.

Following the incident, we here are initiating tagging of all newborns with GPS equipped subcutaneously embedded microchips so that any missing babies can be traced immediately.

May such things never happen again

Hi Anas! Where are you now?

Saturday, June 18, 2005

Oh, Alan, puh-leeze, we all know your liking for human flesh, you freak. I didn't spend a ton of cash on these boobs so you can sweet talk me and then feed me to your pigs.

On a lighter note, Seok Hong, honey, this weekend, Adeline, Carren, Kai Inn and I are going bikini shopping for the party! DO join us dear. It will be great, just us 5 fabulous girls doing all that fabulous girly stuff together! Don't say no! (giggle)

Gho-st: Remember to wear your favorite ManUtd jersey if going to Nepal. Cristiano Ronaldo just visited the Aceh kid. Too bad the four lost-in-FraserHill kids were not wearing any football or celebrity-endorsed shirts (no offence intended to those boys, i was glad that they were found safe and sound).
Tan,

i apologise for my dog's inability to communicate in English, i see he is not making good the English lessons i arrange for him...

Nepal trip has always been in our minds... me, Tailo, Tua pui... but somehow or another during student days it just didn materialise... lack of fund being the culprit most of the time

the thing is all of us now still interested in going Nepal... but now getting leave to go off would be considerably a bigger problem.

Details are pretty shoddy... something like... try get leave... see if everyone can get leave... book flight there and go hike around till leave over. sorry no concrete details i can give

the way its going now it appears like it will not materialise... sigh

Monday, June 13, 2005

i understand your needs and will go right to it. will telephone you when agreement achieved with my male dog.

pleasures aside, i am still interested in the nepal trip. count me in the tour pack.

dear secretary dog,

i appreciate your prompt reply. yes, i accept RM 100,000 for being the 5th participant in your holiday package. i also appreciate your offer to weed my garden, wash my windows, iron my laundry, paint the fences as well as sew new curtains for me. but i must let you down gently and early... my male dog has already been neutered. I see no happy future for the both of u. thus i can not accept your generous offers... except for the RM 100,000 which we may use it to reverse
the operation.

i never knew penis touched during the mating ritual
this site is very educational

Wednesday, June 08, 2005

Dear friends,

I've decided to leave Jued, the promiscuous pus-bag. Just thinking about him makes me feel greasy, and I've to go bathe.

Also I strongly suspect he is seeing men on the side. How can I touch a penis that has touched another penis?

Long ago the 7 primary Powers of our world (the Gods of our 4 major religions, Mahatma Gandhi, Ginger Spice and Batman) arbitrarily decided that certain things are evil and go against the natural order of things, eg. man kissing another man, using Clexane, taking out the trash on a Sunday, etc. My favourite uncle Yung is a very religious man so how can I even think of breaking his heart?

Uncle Yung can accept him sleeping with a hundred other women, but when Jeud gets involved with a guy, even if it's only one, I'm afraid there's no compromise.

I'm strong. I've risen like a glorious pink butterfly way above all this shoolah. I'm a Goddess, a light of perfection, a paragon of beauty, sexy incarnate. I deserve much better, don't you think?

So friends, I'm inviting all of you to my Liberation party on July 2nd 8 pm at Atmosphere KL. It's a foam party, so don't bother wearing many clothes. In fact the theme of the event is Underwear Nite. There will be (male) strippers, don't fret!

All of you are invited. Yes you in JB. Yes you in Keningau. Yes you in Manjung. Yes you in Penang. Yes you in Alor Setar. Yes you in Seremban.

Ju Ann

Carren we'll still be needing those pies thanks

Who's Jude?
Watching Manhunt. My jaw will be dropping til Tuesday.
JUDE! Say it isn't true! Say you didn't do IT with another man! Say that I'm your one and only boo-boo!

I know he's too cute for words. I know he has an awesome bod. I know how irresistably charming he is. I too have felt the terrible power of his smile.

But he's a guy! And I'm a girl! I'm the one who is morphologically compatible with you! Don't you think we fit better together?

I know how he can make you gasp. I've heard about wat he can do with his lips. But I promise that I'm at least 2 levels ahead of him. LET ME SHOW YOU!

Come back to me Jude. Come back. We can still make it for July 2nd. I haven't called off the caterers yet.

Carren dear thank you in advance for the pies.

ANNOUNCEMENT

I'd like to invite all of you to my engagement party in Batang Berjuntai on July 2nd 7 pm (no Malaysian time, people). Yes my boyfriend Jude and I are taking that first step to getting hitched. Please sms me as to whether you can make it. Waffles will be served, don't fret!

Ju Ann and Jude Arokiasamy
carren, no can do big day cos no can get off more than one weekend plus one post call day. that also pitiful colleagues doing EODs n i have to pay back 3 weekends EOD for one weekend off. if do big day in such situation will be 2H dinner from 7-9pm cos falling asleep soon after that. 3 GA MOs in manjung, most senior one 8 months old. anyone want to save us?? the frequent calls are suffocating. will soon turn into old hag not fit to be seen in photos/dinner etc. will need to hire young, gorgeous representative (will ask alan for one of his devotees) to masquerade as me. but dont worry, will put u on the list of dignitaries invited to my BIG roti canai themed wedding dinner.

chiewleng, ever considered locumship?? lucarative though illegal career. me just discovered from cleo mag(check out my educational reading material) that many anaest drugs easily accesible and smuggalable by yours truly r drug of abuse, ketamine, ephedrine etc. another lucarative though illegal field there.hwah ha ha ha........

must go now to supermarket, buy legal stuff

greetings all fellow earthlings!

earthling adeline: claims and allowances and salary not adequate....am resorting to contests and slogan writing and praying...my eyes set on the BMWs in ESSO contest...(drool....)

earthling kai inn: working 5 days a week in health side sounds good....but not for us in hospitals...

earthling 17A girl: Haven't seen your cheesy ad...But read that you wanna become gynecologist....question is Gynecology?!!why the hell did you studied so hard for?!

Earthling ghost: tomorow is thrash day...
Hi gang, adeline here masquerading as carren again,
chiew leng, i'm getting like 2 thousand bucks for my call claims next month. makes u wonder whether our salary is low or the call claim is high. anyway, love the money.

lee kien, me no like the 17A creature either, did i remember her wanting to be a doctor? that's dumb.

kai inn, me being in district type hosp with 3 GA MO not supportive of the 5 day week thingy. i means more stressful PH calls when ur the only dumbo on call, plus longer working hours when ur not on call, plus the fact that PH call is only rm 20 more than weekday call. sheesh that is such a thing to cry about for us :(. i think i should aim to become pengarah of some ikan bilis hospital instead or at least become some kerani. all these policies benefit office staff. anyway they were fought for by office staff too (who were free enough).

ghost, admire that u can take care of a dog as well as urself given our working conditions. any dog kept by me would sadly become an anjing kurap in no time.

we been getting crappy lazy irresponsible EL abusing HO's in manjung, just ask chun wearn if u dont believe me. is that a phenomena particular to manjun where HO pampering is the norm or is it a widespread epidemic around malaysia? alan the potty sitter, pls pls, work some magic on them as i know u have connections with the great maggot god.

ok then, got to hit the sack, getting achy n sleepy
Dear Blog...

been hearing news of raving mad baker, maker and cranker running loose in here... be afraid be very afraid. a reward of 500 sacks of rice husks is being offerred for the capture alive of this manic individual. be warned, armed and dangerous is he, and dark is his power, for it is said... all who look into his eyes will be fallen.

anyone can believe 2 years is almost up? new HO are coming in to be bullied... ah the joy of seniority, twisted is my mind on the prospect of torturing the poor souls. RM100 per night their pay now, so they should suffer 4 times as much... muahahhaa

Nepal! Nepal! where art thou!? Si tai lo!? when u free la?! or we just go delve deep into the water of Sipadan...

up hiking Mt K again in July, daily jogging must be commenced, else suffer will I on climb.

Dog been teaching me fence building, so far still able to clamber over fence and run out. Will not give up... must not lose to dumb dog.

Rambling on and on... anyone bored yet

Dear Diarrhea,

Am I too dramatic? Am I as cheesy as the girl in the pencil commercial? I realize it shouldn't be always about me.

Heard some mooing outside my gate today. A cow has pooed in front of my house again, I'm afraid.

To those who have not watched Kingdom of Heaven, do go with low expectations and you will be pleasantly entertained like I was.

To those who have watched it already, here are some truths...

- balian is actually stepfather to sybilla and there was never an affair between them, not documented anyway.

- balian was never a child out of wedlock and in fact had two other brothers and they all grew up together and fought for the king together.

- balian's father is also called balian, not godfrey

- sybilla was actually very committed to Guy de Lusignon, as the king of jerusalem (sybilla's brother) tried anulling sybila's marriage but she refused

- sybilla was crowned as a sole queen on the condition she divorced Guy but allowed to marry her next husband of her choice. As queen, she remarried Guy and allowed him to crown himself king of Jerusalem.

Hi everybody,
Din know that our blog is becoming so religious nowadays. Thanks to the Cranker to enlighten us to the GMG, the mightiest of the soft, slimy yucky world. Hail the GMG...!!

And speaking bout end of the world, well what i'v to say but to agree (personal opinion only mah) with the mighthy Schemer of The World Destruction (dat's u BTW, Cranker)...just read dat with all the earthquakes and volcanoes in Indonesia partying, the big BIG brother, the SUPERVOLCANO will also awake sooner in the future (heard it'l b in our lifetime).

And hav all heard bout a story in US where a guy claimed to hav come from the future, i.e 2032 (so, the world was still there at that time eh..), said there's a big computer virus outbreak then and he was send via timemachine (what the heck..) back to 198.. to retrace the technology that built the first notebook in order to counter the BIG virus (so, older is wiser is always correct afterall). then he stopped at 2001 on his way back to 2032 coz he wanted to look at his childhood years and parents (apparently, his parents died not much later after 2001)... there, he access the web and spoken to lots of people bout who he is and disclosed a few things, which people claimed he said it and it happened...such as
1. Said US will attack Iraq for no apparent reason
2. George Bush will b president again
3. Prince Charles will get marry this year.
4. Pope John Paul II goes back to God's side this year (no offence to GMG)
....and a few other things, but what he said will happen that's interesting...

1. There'l b Civil War in US this year that'l last a few years (dt dissatisfaction over last election)
2. Olympic in 2004 will b the last successfully staged one (the one in Beijing wont b successfully staged and that will b the end to Olympic games)
3. Beijing and Taiwan will b in civil war in 201... (well, v predicted this one will happen sooner o or later)
4. English Language will ceased to b international language in the future and in place is,...u guess.... correct Chinese Language,.............but more interestingly Arab Language will also b one of the two international languages...
5. US will retire as the world superpower, and ...yes again... China will take over..
6. 3rd world war is looming in the horizon (i think he said it'l b in 201... or 202.. )
7. Things in I,Robot (staring Will Smith) will really happen (man live with computers and robots)... and wat's worse, man will hav to live under robots control too (well, if he's really fr 2032, then we'l probably live to see it, if v r not bombed during the WW3....if that really happen)

....and some other things but i'v forgotten oredi, coz bz looking for rice cakes to appease the GMG...praying that all this things is CRAPS

Well, let's c if this prophecy thing will ever happen,... we'l not hav to wait long to see whether the No.1 will happen or not.....

Thanks for reading...Me Is Stupid Fella, out (as in Ryan Seacrest , Out...BTW, he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for saying the out out thing...hopefully i'l get mine soon too..hehe)

Dear Carren,

The Great Maggot God contacted me via ICQ today and says he will come for you soon.

Good job planting the finger there. Now she will go to jail for grand larceny. You get another 1000 Evilness points! Remember, 2500 points entitles you to a free sandwich maker.

Dear Adeline, dressed up as a Carren,

Good ploy trying to get us to visit you there in Manjung, the deadesEST place north of Kuala Pilah.

I think the GMG is a bit too big to fit in a nostril. And you can always recognize him by his grossly enlarged testes (hypertelorism) and his twenty-four lidless eyes.

Cheers and beers,
Alan
