I have given up hope in our local master not because it is bad but because I need to make a choice.
Life is about making decision right?

I am now working in KK hospital, Singapore. (my contact is still the same but this is my s"pore line 02-81211856).

busy week. for those who r still in service n intend to remain so, will take note of the ptk exam tat took place tis tues. it wasnt hard to do, but definitely hard to score 4/4...saw ling tze in the exam n couple of jrs. otherwise, there r also some really senior (as in age) there, so guess there is always time.

congrats to those who pass master year 1 and mrcp... hope i will clear the hurdle as well on may next year. anyway, here r some photos from the gathering at izzi on 27/11/07, think my photosite have similar photo also

it is the 4th quarters of the year, final lap for some for those taking exam...so all the best
and during tis long weekend, majority of us have to work our heads off to cover those on holiday, i am just thankful that 2 weeks of oct oredi down with one more week to go ... keep sane!

Guess everyone is busy with their life right now. Those preparing for exams will not feel the urge to blog, lest it is to vent their stress and frustration?

Bit surprised that bot MRCP and MRCPCH exams are being held together. Must be a massive undertaking.

everyone seems to be busy, the surgical based master will be having their exam soon, i think it is in nov/dec. as for me, counting the days to be back in my old HQ in perak... one half more month to go...

Haven't blogged in for some time. Forgot my password. Was surprised to see that there hasn't been many posts lately. Does this signal the death of our blog? Anyway, hear the MRCP and MRCPCH clinical exams are around the same time. 30th/31st October. Those of you who want to meet up in KL, let me know (sms/e-mail or whatever) and will try to arrange something.

Just came back from Hanoi. On vacation from my vacation now until I start work tmr. Hanoi was dirty, noisy, crowded, expensive, rude and somebody stole my handphone. But I have learnt how to cross the roads. Over there, pedestrians just look at the direction we are heading and walk. One does not reverse or try to stop for the motorcyclists as that could cause an accident or we may just never get across. The motorcyclists will avoid you. Amazing. I felt like Moses parting the red sea as the motorcyclists avoided me!!! But otherwise, it was an experience and that was worth it.

Another bad news... My boss told me that I may have to cancel my leave as someone else in my dept who applied leave after me is going to India for 1 month, so she has priority. Damn.

Anyways, I have given up hope in trying to move the cows at KKM to make their decisions on the masters thingy. I think it's the minimal brain cells that hampers their skills (only able to manage their ADL). The sourface is because they had difficulty remembering how to use the phone. The engaged ringtone is because they forgot how to replace the phone in correct position and the frustration at the punch clock is misconstrude as in actual fact, they were busy trying to remember how to get back home.

We must not be angry with them and instead encourage them to apply for OKU...

if kkm do not release - do they have the right? i mean, we fulfil the pre-requisites right?

a friend called up kkm side, they havent even held the meeting yet! he called yesterday!
imagine, the delay and how last minute things will be -after meeting, need to issue letters etc...sure slow wan...

Just recover fr high grade fever (hitting 39.6 celcius) during the weekend, still had sev sorethroat (throat swab showed pseudomonas??), but still hav to come for work as not enuf MO. after seeing every patient, throat pain like hell, but still hav to carry on seeing pt until pass lunch hour (with my gastric making fuss again)...sssiiigggghhhh...Dunno how the hell i got pseudomonas, most likely fr the TB pt i saw earlier.
Our job is so risky to our health and all our dear family members and friends health, so draining emotionally,physically and mentally, but still people r still complaining that v din do our job and our pay forever sooooooo llllooooooowwwwww and even our oncall is lower than the paramedics per hour!!!.....r v stupid to still serve the gov or should v go to singapore, since they already recognise our MBBS..

hmmm.. i havent took btn yet, hopefully tat by the time i need tat, it will b abolished (or perphaps wil leave goverment before i come to the stage when i need it), at least it wont b required to go to u48 if the current progress is continued.

am waiting for master reply also, most likely wil b taking may off, n still manage to burn some leave. yup, no leave can b carried forward to master, but am plannin to enquired if it can b taken into golden handshake. ah, looking forward to the month tat will rot at home.

Hope you guys get your masters. Don't know whether I'll apply this year or not as just went for induksi last year. Luckily went for BTN already, albeit at a different time. To update you guys, I've transferred back to Seberang Jaya hospital. Well, I haven't actually started work yet as have been taking leave. Been in Alor Setar 3 years plus. About time I guess.
Attended the perinatal congress in Genting Highlands from 22nd to 25th March. Went with Mong Tieng and met up with Chun Wearn, Hung Tiong, Liza and Song Hong. A few juniors too. Managed to watch movie there also!
After that, I've just been unpacking stuff. I went to Bangkok and Chiangmai for 9 days. Just came back this morning actually. Don't know whether I'll be able to get such long leave again in the future. Don't know how my new working environment is going to be like. And have to start studying again. Sigh... so lazy.

Yup, I am waiting for the masters results too. Get or don't get is not that important just that my leave and house rental all tergendala. Have many days left and not sure should use up my leave or not. So frus that I finally just took whole of May off and my boss actually approved! Will cancel the leave if don't get masters, haha!

Luckily my house owner nice, allow me to no need to give any two months notice. Just very inconvenient la.

We must make a pact that whenever we have KKM ppl as patients, may they have to wait and face as much inconvenience as they have put us thru! Down with KKM! Down with KKM!

Just came back fr the boring BTN.
Told that BTN is part of PTK exam (the Kenegaraan part). If pass PTK at Level 4/4 but din go for BTN,still cant naik pangkat or gaji!! So, anybody still havent gone yet, adv is must go..

Anybody know when our master app results will b out??

I'v to attend the stupid BTN course again end of this March!!... again coz i'v already attended the similar course (I'v compared the schedule and its the same) when i attend my induksi course back in 2005, but was asked to attend again coz v didn't sat for the BTN exam during the induksi..how stupid was that??..but to think again, now i'v reason to lepak (hopefully) for 5days4nights in some jungle in Kulim...he he...

finally all the agony of awaiting interview is finally gone. think everyone who got called for exam/interview had oredi went pass it. it was nice to meet up with old frens, n i dun mean u r old chew leng. too bad not enuf time to run around, but it was nice trip down south.
